Hello & Welcome

Welcome to the Catholic Student Community (KSG) “Thomas von Aquin” in Dresden! We are a group of more than a hundred young people from all over Germany and various countries worldwide, living and studying in Dresden. Together we live our faith, make new friends and enjoy our free time. Thanks to the many and varied activities on offer, we take a break from the stress of everyday life and get to know the locals and the city.

There’s no membership fee, of course no grades and no obligation to attend. Instead, you’ll have a relaxing experience with interesting people. For example, you can join the gospel choir or come to the dance evening. Once or twice a month, we have an international evening, where international and German students meet and learn more about different cultures. But there is so much more — KSG life constantly evolves as students come and go. Everyone is welcome to be a part of it!

On Mondays at 7 pm, our weekly mass is held at S. Paulus church, located at Bernhardstraße 42, close to the university campus. Afterwards (at 8 pm), we gather at the same place for a lecture on a different topic each week. Our “Monday evening” continues at our apartment in Eisenstuckstraße 27, the KSG headquarters, where we spend some more time together, chilling and chatting about everything and anything. Here is where KSG life takes place during the week. Every week, two students take on the role of “Geister” (“ghosts”) and, from Tuesday to Thursday, cook dinner for everyone to enjoy together.

Interested? Then don’t hesitate to stop by — we look forward to getting to know you! If you have any questions, please feel free to write to us at international@ksg-dresden.de.
